ABOUT KRISTIN

From the outside, my life looked exactly right.

Inside it, I had been quietly disappearing for years.

My name is Kristin Palm Kane. I am a certified coach, a Fora travel advisor, a memoirist, and a woman who spent a long time playing the supporting character in her own life. This is the part of the story most websites would polish. I am going to tell it the way it actually went.

For most of my marriage, I made a thousand small choices in service of a partnership I thought we were both in. By the time I was fifty, I had two teenage boys, a busy house, a calendar full of other people's needs, and the quiet, persistent feeling that I was watching my own life from somewhere behind my own eyes.

When my marriage ended, I lost more than a marriage. I lost a future, an identity, and the version of myself I had built around being a wife. What I gained, eventually, was the woman I had been quietly avoiding.

I got certified as a coach because the women I wanted to help deserved someone with both the lived experience and the real frameworks to walk them through it safely. As I started working with them, I kept meeting the woman I had been. Accomplished. Loved. Surrounded by people. Quietly disappearing. I knew her the second I met her. I had been her.

IF ANY OF THAT SOUNDED FAMILIAR
